Smith Commons — Now an Official TapIt Water Location

September 6th, 2011

We’re tired of seeing plastic water bottles fill up garbage cans and litter the streets — and we’re sure you are too. What a waste. Is there a better alternative? Absolutely: reusable bottles. “That’s great,” you say, “but where am I supposed to get my bottle refilled when I’m on the go?” The folks at TapIt Water have the answer for you: They’ve set up a nationwide network of establishments — now including Smith Commons — that will refill your reusable water bottle for free. Cold H2O from the tap … no fuss, no money, and best of all, no more plastic bottles.

Saturday Brunch Begins April 16

April 15th, 2011

Our favorite things about summer? Patios, cold beverages and brunch. Tomorrow, Smith Commons, H Street’s most popular restaurant, is now opening its doors (and patio) for Saturday brunch.

Delight in a juicy orange & pink grapefruit salad with a honey mint dressing over vanilla poppy seed yogurt. Move on to a sweet and savory Belgian waffle and fried confit chicken finished with warm maple syrup and gravy. All the while sipping on a bottomless Belle Jardin mimosa or house-infused Bloody Mary.

Join us Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for Chef Frederik’s inventive twist on the classic brunch. Even the bar has a brunch menu, including biscuits and muffins with house made jams, salads, snacks and, of course, our famous Smith cocktails. Make a reservation today.
